Biodiversity Study and its Importance
One of the core objectives of the Semi-urban and Rural Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment programme –Ajara is the protection of and reduction of the negative impact on the environment in the region.
To protect and preserve the nature, the villages in Ajara, where the rehabilitation of water supply and waste water systems is planned, are exposed to the ongoing study of biodiversity.
The aim of the biodiversity study is to reveal preserved, endemic, rare species and those of other status in the construction sites with the objective to assess the impact of the planned works as well as establish preventive measures.
